Hamas Invited to Relocate to Sanaa by Yemeni Houthi Leader Despite US Pressure
Muhammad al-Buhaiti, a prominent member of the Yemeni Houthis and the Ansar Allah movement’s Politburo, has invited the Hamas leadership to relocate to Sanaa. He expressed readiness to face any consequences of this decision, even if they seem insurmountable.
The United States is reportedly pressuring Qatari authorities to expel Hamas leaders from their country if their involvement jeopardizes a potential deal with Israel for the release of hostages held in Gaza. US Secretary of State Antony Blinken delivered this demand to Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Muhammad bin Abdarrahman Al Thani.
However, analysts, including former US Ambassador to Qatar Patrick Theros, believe that removing Hamas from Qatar would create significant complications for future negotiations. This move could potentially hinder any chances of reaching a resolution in the future, making it a challenging situation for the White House to navigate.
