St. Louis continues to prove it deserves an NFL team

St. Louis: A Football Powerhouse and Potential NFL City

St. Louis has a long history of supporting football, and the recent success of the St. Louis Battlehawks is just one example of this. Despite challenges in filling stadiums in seven other cities where it operates, the Battlehawks have attracted over 30,000 fans for three consecutive home games, with 32,969 attending their most recent victory over the Houston Roughnecks.

Meanwhile, on the same day as these football games, a Cardinals game at Busch Stadium in St. Louis also drew a significant crowd of 38,559 spectators. This has sparked discussions about whether St. Louis should once again have an NFL team. The city previously had the Cardinals from 1988 to 1995 and later welcomed the Rams in 1995 but returned to Los Angeles in 2016 due to misleading statements made by the team and the NFL resulting in a substantial settlement for St. Louis.

While it may take time for the NFL to consider returning to St. Louis, some believe that based on its past successes and willingness to support football, it should be seriously considered as a potential NFL city in the future. The decision ultimately lies with the NFL who should take this city’s fanbase into account if they are looking for a city where fans will show up to games.
