Get Fit with Your Family: The FIT-Together Program at Franciscan Health Michigan City is Now Open for Registration

The FIT-Together program at Franciscan Health Michigan City is now open for registration. This six-week fitness program is designed for families with children aged 8 to 15, with the goal of improving the well-being of every family member.

The program focuses on healthy choices in physical activities, relationships, and emotional health. Activities include family-centered exercises led by Trainer Ron Gaston, cooking and meal preparation sessions with Chef Nakia, and discussions about nutritional facts. Families will also receive weekly meal kits for their entire household.

Throughout the program, participants will learn the seven Cs of family resilience, which include control, competence, coping, confidence, connection, character, and contribution. FIT-Together sessions will take place on Tuesdays and Thursdays from June 4 to July 18, from 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. Central Time at The Temple Total Fitness Center in Michigan City. Comfortable clothing and gym shoes are recommended for all sessions.
