Three ex-Texas Rangers Displayed Their World Series Rings in Kansas City

Rangers Dish Out World Series Rings to Past and Present Players in Unique Ceremony at Globe Life Field

The Texas Rangers recently distributed their 2023 World Series rings during a pre-game ceremony at Globe Life Field. The ceremony honored current players from the previous year’s team, but it also recognized former players who had moved on. This was possible due to Major League Baseball’s new schedule, which ensures that every team plays against each other at least once in a season.

The Rangers were able to present World Series rings to former players when they faced their new teams, as part of their ongoing effort to honor their past successes. During a recent homestand, the Rangers presented Seattle Mariners catcher Mitch Garver with his ring in a pre-game ceremony. In Kansas City, the Rangers gave rings to three Royals players – pitchers Cole Ragans, Chris Stratton, and Will Smith.

Ragans, though not with the Rangers during the World Series victory, had played with the team for the first three months of the season. Stratton was acquired from the St. Louis Cardinals by the Rangers along with Jordan Montgomery, who is now with the Arizona Diamondbacks. Smith has the unique distinction of being part of the last three World Series-winning teams – the Rangers, Houston Astros in 2022 and Atlanta Braves in 2021.

However, some former Rangers players are still waiting to receive their World Series rings, including Jordan Montgomery, Aroldis Chapman and Austin Hedges. Despite this delay, the Rangers plan to continue honoring their former players as they face them throughout the season as a way of recognizing their contributions to past successes and keeping them connected to their alma mater.

In conclusion, The Texas rangers distributed most of their 2023 world series rings in a pre-game ceremony at Globe life field during second game of season honoring current players from previous year’s team while also recognizing former players who moved on
