From Client Advisor to Community Leader: The Unstoppable Journey of Julia in the Banking Industry

Julia is a seasoned professional with over 20 years of experience in the banking and financial industry. She currently serves as a partner with PwC Singapore’s Digital Regulatory Risk & Compliance practice, specializing in risk and transformation. In this role, she provides strategic advice to banks, wealth managers, capital markets intermediaries, and non-FIs on digital transformation strategy, risk and regulations, controls, and governance.

Julia has held various leadership positions throughout her career at PwC Singapore. Most notably, she served as the private banking industry lead, banking governance, risk and compliance leader, and digital transformation services leader within the firm. Her expertise in these areas has earned her a reputation as a trusted advisor to clients seeking guidance on complex issues related to digital transformation and regulatory compliance.

Outside of her client work, Julia is actively involved in giving back through board directorship and mentoring. She currently serves on the Boards of Trustees for ISEAS (Institute of Southeast Asian Studies) and the Building Construction Authority, as well as the Governance and Audit Committee of the Singapore Heart Foundation. Through these roles, she seeks to make a positive impact on society by leveraging her skills and experience to help organizations achieve their goals.

In addition to her board directorship roles, Julia also mentors with the Young Women Leadership Connection and Mentorshub. She believes that it is important to give back to the community by sharing her knowledge and experience with others who may benefit from it. Through these mentoring programs, she hopes to inspire future leaders by providing them with guidance and support as they navigate their careers.
