Europe Faces Challenges in Security, Economy, and Culture, Warns Macron

French President Emmanuel Macron Delivers Stern Warning to Europe: Competition Threatens Values and Culture

French President Emmanuel Macron delivered a speech at Sorbonne University in Paris, where he expressed his concerns about the challenges that Europe is currently facing. He pointed out that Europe is surrounded by various powers, both on its borders and within its own territory. The French President also highlighted the growing capabilities of certain regional powers that are not inhibited by any constraints.

Macron emphasized that Europe’s economic model is no longer sustainable due to competition from the United States and China. He stressed that Europe’s values and culture are under threat as the continent engages in a delicate battle of narratives, values, and imagination. It is worth noting that this speech was given seven years after Macron’s initial address on Europe at the same university.
