Falcons Lose Another Player in Transfer Wave: Sophomore Kellan Boylan Heads to Lipscomb University
On Saturday, the Air Force Falcons saw their second player from the 2023-24 roster depart for a new program. Sophomore starter Kellan Boylan transferred to Lipscomb University. Boylan, who announced his commitment on X, started 30 games for the Falcons last season and averaged 7.2 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 2.1 assists per game. His standout performance came against Wyoming, scoring 32 points on nine 3-pointers. He reached double figures in eight games, three times in Mountain West play.
Lipscomb, based in Nashville, Tenn., is part of the Atlantic Sun Conference and made its first NCAA Tournament appearance in 2018. The Bisons finished with a record of 20-12 in the 2023-24 season. This transfer comes shortly after sophomore Rytis Petraitis announced his commitment to California. Petraitis led Air Force in various statistical categories during the 2023-24 season.
The only two Falcons who have entered the transfer portal are Boylan and Petraitis as per Academy rules. Cadet athletes are eligible to transfer until the start of their junior years
