Eyelash Empire Burned Down: Arsonists Target Entrepreneur in Kendall

Arsonists targeted an eyelash business in Kendall, causing it to be completely engulfed in flames. The incident occurred early Thursday morning at a business specializing in eyelash extensions, situated on the corner of Bird Road and SW 97th Avenue in Olympia Heights.

Indira Ortega, the owner of the store, arrived on the scene to find her life’s work destroyed. The video footage unveiled critical moments leading up to the fire, showing two unidentified men inspecting the store before returning with a rock to break the glass. The individuals proceeded to throw gasoline on the building and ignite it, resulting in approximately $45,000 in damages.

Despite the devastating setback, Ortega remains determined not to abandon her plans of reopening the business. Officials are actively delving into the incident, gathering evidence to identify and apprehend the culprits responsible for the arson attack.
