BraveBots Robotics Team: Impressive Performance in World Competition
The Gladstone BraveBots robotics team recently returned home after competing in the World competition in Houston, Texas. They earned a spot in the tournament by performing well in the state competition.
During the three-day competition, the BraveBots played on the Johnson Field and won their last seven games, finishing with an impressive record of 8-2. They were partnered with teams from North Carolina and California as alliance captains. Although they defeated the #3 alliance, they ultimately lost to the #7 alliance, who went on to win the tournament.
Coach Tim Barron commended his team for their hard work and dedication throughout the competition. He praised the senior members for their leadership skills and thanked them for their contributions to the team’s success. Barron also expressed gratitude towards the mentors who dedicated their time and expertise to help guide and support the team during their journey.
Although some graduating seniors had said goodbye, Barron remains optimistic about the future of BraveBots thanks to the talented underclassmen on board. With hard work and dedication, this team has proven that they are capable of achieving great things, and it’s exciting to see what they will accomplish next year!
