Young Victim Sexually Assaulted at MSI in Chicago: Police Search for Offender and MSI Reassures Visitors’ Safety
On Thursday, a young person was sexually assaulted at the Museum of Science and Industry (MSI) in Chicago. The incident occurred between 10:30 am and 1 pm on the second floor of the museum, where the victim had requested to use the restroom. While in the stall, the offender touched the victim inappropriately and then fled when the victim kicked at him.
The offender has been described as a male between 30 to 40 years old and standing between 5-foot-10 to 6-foot-3 tall with a light complexion, medium build, curly light brown hair, colored eyes, a beard, and a tattoo of a roaring lion on his neck. At the time of the incident, he was wearing a light blue shirt, blue vest, blue jeans, and black gym shoes.
The Chicago Police Department issued a community alert for the 3rd District on April 25 regarding the assault. The police are currently searching for the offender and are asking anyone with information about the incident to contact them at (312) 491-3810/3664.
