Fleetwood’s Hometown Caddie Overcomes Health Challenges with Successful Surgery
Tommy Fleetwood’s longtime caddie, Ian Finnis, recently underwent open-heart surgery and announced it on social media this week. Finnis had been recovering from his surgery and had not caddied for Fleetwood since the Valero Texas Open, just before the Masters. Fleetwood shared that Finnis has been unwell all year and is now at home focusing on treatment and recovery.
Finnis took to Instagram to share the news of his successful open-heart surgery and expressed his gratitude to the NHS staff for their care and support. He also thanked everyone for their love and well wishes as he embarks on his road to recovery following the surgery.
During Finnis’ absence, Fleetwood has turned to Adrian Rietveld from TaylorMade and Gray Moore, who worked at Augusta National, to caddie for him at various tournaments. However, despite their professional relationship being built on success together with six DP World Tour victories, including the Dubai Invitational in January, Fleetwood’s bond with Finnis extends beyond the golf course.
