Jasson Dominguez of the Yankees to begin rehab games in two weeks

Yankees Outfielder Jasson Dominguez on Track for a Strong Return from Tommy John Surgery: Manager Aaron Boone Provides Update on Progress

Jasson Dominguez, the 21-year-old outfielder for the Yankees, is making progress in his recovery and rehab from Tommy John surgery, according to manager Aaron Boone. The switch-hitter has been steadily increasing his baseball activities since he underwent surgery seven months ago on September 20.

Dominguez has been actively participating in live batting practices and defensive drills in recent weeks as he continues to progress in his rehab. In early February, he began throwing and started hitting off a tee at the end of the month. By March, he had progressed to throwing from 75 feet and hitting from both sides of the plate as he continues to work towards returning to full strength.

Boone stated that the outfielder is nearing the start of playing in rehab games, with the expectation that he will begin as a designated hitter for the first two weeks before transitioning back to the outfield. The Yankees’ top prospect and ranked 37th overall in MLB Pipeline, Dominguez’s return to the field is eagerly anticipated by the team and fans alike. With his rehab progressing well, he is on track to make a strong comeback once he is fully recovered from his surgery.
