Vietnam: Cataracts Still Leading Cause of Blindness Despite Advancements in Vitreoretinal Surgery
The retina is a critical component of the human eye, and diseases related to it can lead to blindness. However, cataracts are still the leading cause of blindness in Vietnam. This information was shared by Prof. Dr. Do Nhu Hon, Chairman of the Vietnam Vitreoretinal Association, at a scientific conference on new trends in vitreoretinal surgery and ocular reconstructive surgery.
