Vandal Science Days Event taking place this weekend

Vandal Science Days: A Dynamic Event Promoting Scientific Discovery and Interactive Learning at U of I

The Integrated Research and Innovation Center at the University of Idaho’s College of Science is hosting a two-day science event, Vandal Science Days, starting today. This exciting event is open to the public of all ages and provides hands-on experimenting opportunities. Tomorrow, Saturday April 20th, the event will continue from 10 am to 3 pm.

Vandal Science Days offers participants the chance to listen to presentations from professors on topics such as arsenic in beauty products and learn about the various science programs available at U of I. Attendees can also engage in hands-on science activities like fossil digs, comet making, and virtual realities for sustainable futures.

Cindy Barnhart from the College of Science’s Communication and Marketing department stated that this event coincides with the Lionel Hampton Jazz Festival. This allows attendees to explore how science and music can complement each other. Additionally, prospective U of I science students have the opportunity to win a $500 college of science scholarship at Vandal Science Days.

This event is an excellent opportunity for members of the community to engage with scientists and learn more about scientific research happening on campus. With its focus on interactive learning experiences and engaging presentations, Vandal Science Days promises to be an unforgettable day for all who attend!
