USA Wrestlers Eyeing Gold at Istanbul Olympic Qualifier
The World Olympic Games Qualifier will be held in Istanbul, Türkiye from May 9-12. The top three wrestlers at each weight category will secure automatic qualification for their respective weights and countries to participate in the 2024 Paris Olympic Games.
Team USA will be represented by five wrestlers – Spencer Lee (57 kg), Zain Retherford (65 kg), Dalton Roberts (60 kg), Ellis Coleman (67 kg), and Kamal Bey (77 kg). These athletes have been training hard to make it to the Olympics, and they are excited to showcase their skills on the international stage.
The tournament will feature competitions in men’s freestyle at 57 kg, 65 kg, 74 kg, 86 kg, 97 kg, and 125 kg, as well as Greco-Roman at 60 kg, 67 kg, 77 kg, 87 kg, 97 kg, and 130 kg. Women’s freestyle categories include 50 kg, 53 kg, 57 kg, 62 kg,
