Unlocking the Potential of Diagnostic Network Optimization: A Conversation on Addressing Global Health Challenges

On May 30th, 2024, experts from around the world will gather in Geneva for the 77th World Health Assembly to address the challenges hindering access to diagnostics in low- and middle-income countries. These challenges include fragmented supply chains and market barriers that make it difficult for individuals to receive accurate and rapid diagnostic tests.

Despite these obstacles, many countries are using diagnostic network optimization (DNO) processes to identify gaps and inefficiencies in healthcare delivery. However, much of the data collected during DNO processes is not fully utilized, which limits their effectiveness in improving healthcare systems and combating diseases like HIV, tuberculosis, and antimicrobial resistance.

To unlock the full potential of DNO processes, Foreign Policy and Cepheid are hosting an event on May 30th to discuss how insights can be gained from these processes to enhance pathogen detection, strengthen global health systems, achieve universal health coverage, and combat antimicrobial resistance. The event will take place from 7:30 AM to 9:00 AM CET.

Join the conversation to explore solutions for improving diagnostics and advancing global health initiatives.
