A team of Timberline School eighth-graders recently returned from competing in the National Science Bowl held in the Washington, D.C. area. The students earned their spot in the competition by winning at the regional level earlier in the school year.

The team is made up of Krish Joshi, Neil Nallabirudu, Ishani Atluri, Adwaiyth Muthuranam, and Evan Midtlyng. These students dedicated many months to preparing for the tournament and shared their thoughts on the rigorous study schedule required for such a broad competition. Ishani Atluri stressed the importance of hard work and the direct correlation between effort and results.

Despite finishing with four wins and four losses, Julie Stevens, the team’s coach, is incredibly proud of their determination and teamwork. Neil Nallabirudu and Krish Joshi mentioned that they enjoyed meeting new people during the competition.
