Thunder Strikes! Oklahoma City Snaps Postseason Drought with Win over Pelicans

The Oklahoma City Thunder has finally snapped their postseason drought since 2016 with a victory over the New Orleans Pelicans in the first round of the Western Conference playoffs. After a hard-fought game on Monday night, the Thunder clinched the series with a score of 97-89. Despite facing a five-point deficit in the fourth quarter, key three-point shots from Josh Giddey and Jalen Williams helped OKC secure the victory.

The Thunder’s success was powered by Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (SGA) and Jalen Williams, who both scored 24 points in the series win over the Pelicans. Oklahoma City is now looking forward to some much-needed rest as they wait to face the winner of the series between the Dallas Mavericks and LA Clippers. Game five of that series will take place on Wednesday in Los Angeles. The Thunder is determined to carry their momentum into the next round of playoffs after this exciting victory.
