Emplify Health merges with Bellin and Gundersen

New Healthcare Merger Announces New Name: Emplify Health

On Tuesday, two Wisconsin health systems that merged in 2022 announced a new name for their organization. Bellin Health and Gundersen Health System, which initially maintained their respective names, will transition to operate as Emplify Health. Dr. Scott Rathgaber, chief executive officer of the merged health system, stated that the new name reflects their commitment to amplifying empathy, which has been a core value of Bellin and Gundersen for well over a century.

Bellin, located in Green Bay, and Gundersen, based in La Crosse, collectively operate 11 hospitals across Wisconsin, Iowa, Minnesota, and Michigan, employing around 15,000 people. The transition to the new name will not happen overnight and could take several years to complete. They plan to announce a detailed timeline in the following months on when the new name will officially be implemented. However, Rathgaber stressed that it is not an urgent or immediate change.

The Bellin Health Foundation and Gundersen Medical Foundation will retain their current names and function separately from Emplify Health. According to Rathgaber, this decision was made to ensure that donors know their contributions will directly benefit the communities where they live and work. The transition to the new name will not impact patients who will still be able to see their regular providers at the same locations as before.

Rathgaber stated that Emplify Health’s mission is to provide exceptional care with compassionate hearts for patients across its healthcare facilities throughout the Midwest region.

As part of its commitment to amplifying empathy within its healthcare team members and beyond its walls of care delivery centers across Wisconsin and other states it operates in; Emplify Health aims to foster an environment of collaboration between healthcare providers working together towards common goals while also promoting understanding among patients from different backgrounds.

With its focus on patient-centered care delivered through teamwork among healthcare providers; Emplify Health strives to provide personalized services tailored specifically for each patient’s unique needs while also emphasizing preventative measures aimed at keeping individuals healthy year-round.

In conclusion; Emplify Health’s mission is about providing quality care with kindness at every stage of life. As it continues its journey towards becoming one unified brand identity across all its healthcare facilities throughout the Midwest region; this health system remains committed to maintaining transparency with patients while ensuring they receive top-notch medical care without any compromises on quality or safety standards.
