The United States and Canada Dominate Pan American Qualifying for World Relay Cup in Paris

Nine Pan American teams have secured their spots in the World Relay World Cup in Paris, with the United States leading the way by qualifying four teams for the Olympic Games. The event, held in the Bahamas, showcased the talent of Pan American teams.

The United States dominated the competition, securing spots in five races for both women and men: 4x100m and 4x400m mixed relays as well as women’s 4x400m. They came close to qualifying in the men’s 4x400m but fell short.

Canada had a strong showing, qualifying in three races: men’s and women’s 4x100m and the 4x400m races. The Dominican Republic secured their spot in Paris with their world champions and Olympic medalists in the 4x400m mixed relay.

Thanks to Marileidy Paulino, who led her team to second place in the mixed relay, Caribbean secured another spot in Paris. The United States set a new championship record with a time of 3:10.73 in the grand final.

Teams from Australia, France, Germany, Great Britain and NI, Netherlands, Poland, and Japan qualified for women’s 4x100m race. For men’s 4x100m race Canada China France Italy Jamaica Japan USA qualified respectively. In women’s 4x400m race teams from Canada France Great Britain and NI Ireland Italy Norway Poland USA qualified respectively while Belgium Botswana Germany Great Britain and NI Italy Nigeria South Africa also secured spots for men’s
