From Winning a Grammy to Conquering the World: Tyla’s Rise to the Top

Rising R&B Star Tyla: From Family Encouragement to Grammy Win and Beyond

As a child, Tyla was surrounded by music and had a love for it from a young age. Her family, particularly her grandmother, who was a singer herself, encouraged her to pursue her passion for music. She grew up listening to Stevie Wonder, Boyz II Men, and Brian McKnight among others and singing and dancing with her family were common occurrences in their close-knit home.

Tyla’s dedication to finding her sound and identity as an artist began in high school when she stepped into a recording studio. Despite making mistakes along the way, she believes they have ultimately led her to where she is today – the number one spot on the R&B charts with her hit song “Water”. She reflects on the journey with her best friend and is proud of what they have achieved together.

Her parents and family were always supportive of her music career and even accompanied her to the Grammy awards where she won. The joy and pride they shared in that moment will always be a highlight for Tyla. With the release of her new album, she hopes that listeners will approach it with an open mind and find joy in its new sound just like she does.

After an injury forced the postponement of a tour, Tyla is looking forward to getting back on stage this summer for an even bigger and better tour. She is excited about what the future holds for her music career and hopes that it continues to resonate with her audience.
