Thinx has recently released a new line of reusable period underwear that features their innovative LeakSafe Barrier Technology. This technology is available across all Thinx products, including the Thinx, Thinx Teens, and Thinx For All lines. The LeakSafe Barrier Technology promises all-day absorbency, preventing leaks for up to 12 hours.
Courtney Newman, senior director of product design at Thinx, shared that testing showed the new technology to be effective for heavy flows and absorbent enough for the majority of users. To balance aesthetics with function, the gusset layer was made thinner while the width of the secure barrier was maximized. This design offers customers a product that combines comfort, style, and protection.
The garment contains a patent-pending four-layer gusset that promises both comfort and protection. It also includes odor technology and is made of breathable fabric to keep users feeling fresh and dry all day long. Sara Plotkin, vice president of brand and creative at Thinx, explained that the development process involved exploring different materials, designs, and manufacturing techniques to ensure the best possible experience for customers. The product was designed with customers’ needs in mind, providing them with protection that boosts confidence throughout the day.
