Powering Health and Wellness: How Community Philanthropy Fuels Exceptional Care at WellSpan
Our communities’ health and wellness rely heavily on the philanthropy of our donors. Thanks to their support, WellSpan can provide exceptional care to all by funding facility upgrades, new equipment, education programs, community outreach initiatives, and financial resources for our patients.
WellSpan has achieved significant milestones thanks to the generosity of its donors. For example, we raised $5.7 million to renovate the WellSpan York Cancer Center and provided over $100,300 to 75 patients and their families through the Adams County Cancer Patient Help Fund. We also awarded $96,000 in scholarships to 31 local students pursuing their Registered Nursing degrees.
WellSpan employees are not only part of our culture of giving but also contribute significantly through the annual iGive employee campaign. Over the past three years, they have raised more than $3.5 million in personal donations to support the health and well-being of our community members.
