Ponsse announces layoffs of over 20 employees in Finland

Ponsse Announces Lower Than Expected Layoffs in Finland and Abroad after Change Negotiations: Company Committed to Supporting Workforce

Forest machine manufacturing company Ponsse is now reducing 21 jobs in Finland and approximately 40 jobs outside of Finland as a result of change negotiations. The number of layoffs turned out to be lower than expected because many employees were placed into new jobs that opened up with the change in operating model.

The exact number of layoffs at Ponsse was unclear for a month after change negotiations concluded, but the company had initially estimated a total reduction of 120–140 jobs, with 50–60 of them in Finland. Despite the challenges faced by the company, Ponsse is adapting to the changing circumstances and working to ensure a smooth transition for its employees.

Ponsse is committed to supporting its workforce through these changes and is actively seeking opportunities to help employees find new roles within the company or elsewhere. With a focus on maintaining a strong and resilient workforce, Ponsse is navigating through this challenging period with determination and strategic planning.
