New York Venue Prepares for T20 World Cup with Eagerly Anticipated Match Between India and Pakistan

The New York venue will be hosting nine out of the 20 teams participating in this year’s T20 World Cup next month. Among the teams playing at the venue, India and Pakistan are the most highly anticipated match, as they face off in their ongoing rivalry on 9 June.

Aside from India and Pakistan, other teams playing at the New York venue include host USA, neighbors Canada, Ireland, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Netherlands, and Bangladesh. The venue has been specially constructed for the tournament and is expected to provide fair conditions between bat and ball.

Tournament director Hough hopes that the T20 pitch at the venue will have good pace, bounce, and offer value for shots to players. The goal is to produce pitches that allow batters to play shots all over the ground and create an exciting and competitive atmosphere for matches. From the start of planning the tournament, this was a clear objective.
