Cowboys finalize deal with Ezekiel Elliott

New Deal with Elliott Boosts Cowboys’ Hopes for 2023 NFL Season, But Prescott, Lamb, and Parsons Still Unsigned

The Cowboys have recently reached a deal with Ezekiel Elliott, a longtime member of the team, which is a positive development for the team. However, they have yet to sign extensions with Dak Prescott, CeeDee Lamb, or Micah Parsons.

Elliott was originally drafted by the Cowboys in the first round of the 2016 NFL Draft and has been with the team through the 2022 season. After being released in March 2023, he signed with the Patriots last August. However, he recently visited the Cowboys and discussions about a return to Dallas began.

With the loss of Tony Pollard in free agency and no other significant moves in the backfield so far this offseason, Elliott is expected to take on a prominent role on the team. As the deal with Elliott has become a reality, it is likely that he will be back in the top spot on the depth chart for the Cowboys in the upcoming season.
