Joe Burrow thrilled about joining forces with dynamic tight end Mike Gesicki

New Bengals Tight End Mike Gesicki: Can He Regain His Form after a Rollercoaster Season with the Patriots?

The Bengals signed tight end Mike Gesicki to a one-year deal in March, after spending the previous season with the Patriots. The club had a significant vacancy at the position following the departure of Hayden Hurst to the Panthers as a free agent last year. Despite playing in all 34 regular-season games over the past two seasons with Miami and New England, Gesicki’s production has been inconsistent.

In 17 games last season, Gesicki caught 29 passes for 244 yards and two touchdowns for New England. However, his numbers were significantly lower than his previous season with Miami, where he caught just 32 passes for 362 yards with five touchdowns in 17 games. Despite this, Gesicki has shown promise as an explosive player with a big catch radius, and quarterback Joe Burrow is excited to work with him.

The Bengals have several other tight ends on their roster, including Tanner Hudson, Drew Sample, Erick All and Tanner McLachlan. However, it appears that Cincinnati will again rely on Hudson and Sample as their primary options for the position. Burrow has expressed confidence in working with these players and believes that building trust through dialogue will translate to on-field success.
