NASCAR’s Next Race at Dover Motor Speedway: A Preview of the Starting Lineup

The NASCAR Xfinity Series heads to Dover Motor Speedway on Sunday, with a 1-mile banked concrete track hosting the race. Kyle Busch will lead the charge for Chevrolet, as he was the fastest driver during Saturday’s qualifying session. William Byron, Alex Bowman, and AJ Allmendinger also made it into the top 10.

Ford drivers Ryan Blaney and Noah Gragson were among those who qualified for the second round. Unfortunately, Erik Jones suffered a compression fracture in a lower vertebra last week at Talladega and will miss Sunday’s race. Tyler Reddick and Denny Hamlin were the only Toyota drivers to make it to the second round of qualifying. Martin Truex Jr., last season’s winner at Dover, qualified in 15th place, while Jimmie Johnson had the fifth-fastest time during practice but qualified in 27th place.

The race at Dover will start at 2:11 p.m., with coverage on FS1 starting with NASCAR RaceDay at 1 p.m.
