Mayo Clinic Health System Secures 30-Year Lease for Research Workspace at UW-Eau Claire’s New Science and Health Sciences Building: Partnership Boosts Healthcare and Research in the Region

The Mayo Clinic Health System has secured a 30-year lease for research workspace at the new Science and Health Sciences Building at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. The building, set to begin construction this summer, is a state-of-the-art facility that will replace the outdated Phillips Hall and provide space for multiple academic programs including biology, chemistry and biochemistry, computer science, geography and anthropology, geology and environmental science, public health and environmental studies, neuroscience, materials science and biomedical engineering, physics and astronomy, and nursing.

The partnership between Mayo Clinic Health System and UW-Eau Claire in the new research workspace is expected to enhance research and educational opportunities for students and faculty. Mayo Clinic Health System will have space on all five floors of the building that will be integrated with UW-Eau Claire faculty and student spaces.

This collaboration signifies a significant investment in the future of healthcare and research at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. It demonstrates the commitment to advancing scientific knowledge and providing cutting-edge educational opportunities for students in the region.
