Lightning Forward Mikey Eyssimont Selected for Team USA at International Ice Hockey Federation World Championships for Second Consecutive Year

Tampa — Lightning forward Mikey Eyssimont has been named to the Team USA roster for the International Ice Hockey Federation World Championships for the second consecutive year. Eyssimont, hailing from Littleton, Colorado, will join the team in Bratislava, where they are currently training. The championships will take place in Czechia and run from Friday through May 26.

Eyssimont had a standout season with the Lightning at age 27, becoming a full-time NHL player for the first time. He achieved career highs with 11 goals and 25 points while predominantly playing on the team’s third line. His 135 hits ranked third on the team, showcasing his strong two-way game grounded in solid forechecking. Eyssimont was also the Lightning’s nominee for this year’s Bill Masterton Trophy, awarded to a player who exemplifies perseverance, sportsmanship, and dedication to the game.

Some games will be aired on NHL Network. Team USA’s first game will be against Sweden in Ostrava on Friday as part of the eight preliminary-round games.
