The University of Lynchburg men’s lacrosse team is set to host the second and third round games of the NCAA 2024 Division III men’s lacrosse championship on May 11 and 12 at Shellenberger Field. With their record of 14-5, the No. 13 Lynchburg Hornets are one of the teams participating in the championship, along with the No. 16 Washington and Lee Generals with a record of 13-5.
The winners of the games between Pfeiffer and Centre, and Lake Forest and Transylvania will advance to play Lynchburg and Washington and Lee, respectively. The schedule for the second round on Saturday, May 11 includes a matchup between No. 13 Lynchburg vs Centre/Pfeiffer at 1 p.m., followed by No. 16 Washington and Lee vs Lake Forest/Transylvania at 4 p.m. The third round on Sunday, May 12 will feature a matchup between the winners at 4 p.m.
