20 Years of Building Community One Step at a Time: Mercer Health 5K Challenge Series Anniversary

Exciting Changes in Store for Mercer Health 5K Challenge in 2024: Kids Run for Free and Bundle Registration Available

The Mercer Health 5K Challenge has been a staple in Mercer County for over two decades, providing individuals of all ages with an opportunity to push their physical limits and form lasting friendships. In the upcoming 2024 events, children aged 14 and under will have free entry for all seven MH5K races. While the entry fee covers the races, individual 5K shirts can be purchased separately. Bundle registration is also available, allowing participants to sign up for all seven events at a discounted price of $90, effectively entering all races for the cost of six.

This year’s series will feature unique themes for each race to add an extra layer of excitement. The themes for each race are as follows: Zuma Days – Hawaiian/Luau, Country Fest – Pool Party, Redskin Classic – Patriotic, Shanes Crossing – Christmas in July, St. Clair – Neon Florescent, Lake Festival – Super Heroes, and Buzzard’s Glory – The Olympics.

Online registration is currently open for all events. With online registration, participants can receive text notifications of their finish times and ensure accurate data entry. Alternatively, registration can also be done in person on the day of the race. Completing at least five of the seven challenge events will earn runners and walkers a Mercer Health 5K Challenge running tech shirt and eligibility for age group awards at the end of the series.

The series welcomes runners and walkers of all levels to join in on the fun. Parents are encouraged to take advantage of the “Kids 14 and under running for free” offer and get their children involved in the series. To take advantage of the discounted rate, preregister for all seven events by June 15th
