Erie County Community Health Center Receives Significant Funding to Improve Health and Well-Being of Tri-County Residents
Erie County Community Health Center has received a significant amount of funding from the Health Resources and Services Agency (HRSA) to support its primary care, dental, and mental health services. This funding will help improve the health and well-being of residents in Erie, Huron, and Ottawa counties.
As one of only three Federally Qualified Health Centers in the tri-county area, the Erie County Community Health Center plays a crucial role in public health infrastructure by ensuring continued access to high-quality primary care services for underserved communities. The HRSA’s $4,334,730 will support these efforts by providing funding for eight sites throughout the region.
The Eerie County Health Department/Eerie County Community Health Center is among 160 programs nationwide that have received funding through the Service Area Competition. This three-year funding period will run from June 2024 to May 2027.
“We are thrilled to receive this important funding,” said Pete Schade, Erie County Health Commissioner. “This will allow us to continue providing comprehensive healthcare services to those who need it most.”
