DEWA presents innovative initiatives at the World Future Energy Summit

Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) to Highlight Renewable Energy Projects, Smart Initiatives and Sustainable Development Efforts at World Future Energy Summit 2024

Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) is set to showcase its projects in the renewable and clean energy sector, smart initiatives, and efforts towards sustainable development at the World Future Energy Summit 2024. By highlighting these projects, DEWA aims to establish a more sustainable future and solidify Dubai’s position as a global future energy capital.

One of the key projects featured at DEWA’s platform is the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park, the largest solar energy complex in the world. With a production capacity of over 5,000 megawatts by 2030, this project contributes significantly to the UAE’s Strategic Initiative for Climate Neutrality 2050 and Dubai’s Clean Energy Strategy 2050. Visitors to the DEWA platform can explore the latest advancements in solar photovoltaic and concentrated solar energy technologies, including the innovative features of the fourth and sixth phases of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park. These developments highlight DEWA’s commitment to achieving 100% energy production from clean sources by 2050.

DEWA also showcases projects like the seawater desalination plant using reverse osmosis technology, a green hydrogen project, and the “Green Charger” initiative for electric vehicles. These initiatives demonstrate DEWA’s dedication to promoting sustainability and green mobility in Dubai. In addition, visitors can learn about the Innovation Center at the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Energy Park, the Al Sheraa Building – a zero-energy government building, and other innovative projects aimed at fostering a culture of sustainability and environmental stewardship in the region.
