Helsinki Stock Exchange Ends Month with Decline in Trading

Dividends and Growth: A Mixed Day at the Helsinki Stock Exchange

On Thursday, the Helsinki stock exchange experienced a decline, with several companies releasing dividends. The general index closed down by 0.5 percent to 9,747 points, with the most traded stocks showing a decrease. Notably, Nordea saw a rise of 0.2 percent, while Sampo fell by 1.9 percent after the dividend was removed, causing a 2.4 percent drop.

Among the companies that released dividends on Thursday, Sampo was particularly affected as its dividend was removed and this caused a significant decline in its stock price, falling by 1.9 percent after the announcement of the change. Other companies such as Neste, CapMan, Detection Technology, Innofactor and Konecranes also had their dividends removed but the impact on their stock prices varied from slight decrease to no change at all.

Woodjoy’s positive results and forecast for strong growth and improved profitability helped it rise in stock value by 8 percent on Thursday. Puuilo saw an increase in its target price recommendations from several companies due to its positive outlook and potential for further growth.

Tecnotree announced a global cost efficiency program expected to deliver annual savings of 5-7 percent by 2025 which helped it maintain its stock value despite some fluctuations in the market. Rush Factory also reported a decrease in EBITDA loss compared to the previous year which helped it maintain its position in the market despite some challenges. Kesko continued its strategic investment in the grocery store network by acquiring two properties which helped it maintain its position as one of the leading players in this sector. Outokumpu reported a negative impact on adjusted EBITDA due to political strikes which caused some concerns among investors but did not significantly affect its position in the market.

Pallas Air experienced a significant increase in stock value while Middle Soul reported staff reductions following change negotiations which marked two different developments that have affected these companies differently but are both indicative of the fluctuating dynamics in the Helsinki stock exchange on Thursday
