Whitefish Lake Institute hosts insightful ‘Science Quencher’ dialogues

Discovering Nature’s Wonders: A Fascinating Conversation with Local Scientists at Science Quencher Event”.

On April 26th, from 5-7 p.m., the Whitefish Lake Institute will host the Science Quencher event at The Lodge at Whitefish Lake. This engaging event features local scientists discussing topics such as fish, sheep, owls and rivers.

During this unique opportunity, attendees will have the chance to interact with experts in the field of natural resources and conservation. Speakers at the event include Sam Bourret, a fisheries biologist with Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks; Carol Treadwell, finance and grants manager for Whitefish Lake Institute and chief wool handler at Steitzhof Merinos; Denver Holt, founder and president of The Owl Research Institute; and Dakota Whitman, a fluvial geomorphologist with River Design Group.

Each speaker will share their passion for their work and educate the audience on various issues related to the environment in a “lightning round” format. According to Durae Belcer, program coordinator at Whitefish Lake Institute, this fun local gathering is an excellent way for attendees to learn something new from passionate presenters while enjoying a relaxed atmosphere.
