Cutting-Edge Brain Health Facility: UT Health San Antonio’s $100 Million Center Set to Open in 2025

The $100 million Center for Brain Health, a new patient care and clinical trials facility of UT Health San Antonio, is currently under construction. Located at 4940 Charles Katz Drive, the center is part of UT Health San Antonio’s $1 billion capital investment plan and is expected to be fully completed by September 2025, with an anticipated opening in December 2025.

The Center for Brain Health will provide expert care for patients with Alzheimer’s disease, related dementias, movement disorders, ALS, and other health concerns. It will also serve as an educational site for medical residents and postgraduate trainees. The facility, designed by Alamo Architects Inc. and TreanorHL, will contain 75 exam rooms, 50 faculty offices, a 12-chair non-oncology infusion center, an outpatient pharmacy, and space for leading research and clinical trials. Spanning five levels and covering 103,500 gross square feet, the building aims to provide easy access for families and patients under one roof.

Joeris General Contractors, Ltd. is the builder of the project. The Center for Brain Health aims to provide innovative care for patients with various neurological conditions and to contribute to cutting-edge research in the field. With its state-of-the-art facilities and expert staff, the center is poised to make a significant impact on brain health care in the San Antonio area and beyond.
