Community Survey Set to Provide Comprehensive Snapshot of Health Issues in Helena

A groundbreaking community health survey is set to take place in June in Helena. Known as the Community Assessment for Public Health Emergency Response (CASPER), this multi-county initiative is a collaborative effort involving organizations such as Lewis and Clark Public Health, Pureview Health Center, and St. Peter’s Health. Volunteers will be tasked with going door-to-door across Lewis and Clark, Jefferson, Powell, Broadwater, and Meagher counties to gather valuable information on community health conditions, behaviors, and social determinants.

The purpose of the CASPER survey is to provide a comprehensive snapshot of community health issues. The door-to-door survey will be conducted on Tuesday, June 25th between 2:30 and 7:30 p.m. Thirty 2-member teams will be assigned to locate seven households in each census block who are willing to participate in the survey. Residents who take part in the survey will have the opportunity to win a $500 Visa gift card.

The data collected from the CASPER survey will be used to identify public health priorities and develop a community health improvement plan. This initiative aims to gather valuable information that will help in addressing health issues and improving the overall well-being of the community. The deadline to apply as a volunteer for the survey is Monday, June 17th.
