Child Sexually Assaulted at Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago; Authorities Urge Public to Come Forward with Information

A young girl was sexually assaulted at the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago on Thursday. The incident occurred after she got separated from her group. The Chicago police are currently seeking the individual responsible for this heinous crime.

Following the incident, the police released a community alert stating that a 10-year-old girl who had become separated from her group at the museum was approached by the suspect. The suspect offered to help her find her group and took her to the museum’s second floor. At one point, the girl requested to use the restroom.

While the girl was in the restroom, the suspect entered and proceeded to crawl under the stall door, touching the child inappropriately. The girl reacted by kicking towards the offender, who then fled from the scene. The suspect is described as being between 30 to 40 years old, weighing 160 to 180 pounds, and standing at a height between 5 feet 10 inches and 6 feet 3 inches tall. He is believed to have curly, light brown hair, a beard, and a tattoo of a roaring lion on his neck.

Authorities are urging anyone with information regarding this incident to contact the Bureau of Detectives Special Investigations Unit at 312-492-3810.
