Bud Dupree: A Proven Pass Rusher Who Could Strengthen the Chargers’ Defense

The Chargers may soon have a new addition to their team, as free-agent edge rusher Bud Dupree is reportedly close to joining the team after completing a visit with them. According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, Dupree has also shown interest from the Falcons and Steelers.

Dupree began his career as a first-round pick for the Steelers in 2015 and spent six seasons with the team before signing with the Titans in 2021. In his most recent season with the Falcons, he recorded an impressive 6.5 sacks, eight tackles for loss, and eight QB hits in just 16 games.

Over the course of his 119 games and 99 starts, Dupree has accumulated an impressive total of 53.0 sacks, 70 tackles for loss, and 90 QB hits. At just 31 years old, he is a proven pass rusher with experience in the league and could be a valuable addition to any team looking for a strong defensive presence.
