Brighton High School and Scranton Middle School Shine in Michigan Science Olympiad

In the recent Michigan Science Olympiad, which took place at Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo over the weekend, two schools stood out – Brighton High School and Scranton Middle School. While both teams faced tough competition, they managed to hold their own.

The Brighton High School Science Olympiad team excelled in one event, finishing first in the state. Shannan Pereira, the team’s coach and an engineer herself, expressed pride in her students’ hard work and determination. She has been coaching Science Olympiad at the high school for nine years now and was thrilled to see her team succeed.
