Breaking the Chain: Travell Coleman’s struggle to adapt to modern society after 13 years in prison

Travell Coleman, a former Bad Boy artist who spent over 13 years in prison for murder, is currently experiencing a culture shock as he tries to readjust to society. The 49-year-old is unfamiliar with new experiences such as paying for items with his phone and seeing pay-to-ride mopeds all over the city.

In his first interview since his release, Dep opened up about the biggest challenge he has faced – getting used to the digital age and the impact of social media on society. He confessed that it took some time for him to adapt to the changes that occurred during his time behind bars.

Coleman was charged with second-degree murder after confession in 2010 for a cold case homicide from 1993. He was released on April 4th and granted an early release of six months, but he does not regret his decision to turn himself in and take responsibility for his actions.
