Beaver Local’s Impressive Hitting Leads to 11-1 Victory over East Palestine, Boosting their Record to 4-8

Beaver Local’s solid hitting led to an 11-1 victory over East Palestine on Thursday. With 11 hits, the team scored a significant advantage and improved their record to 4-8. Meanwhile, East Palestine fell to 2-4.

The highlight of the game was a big second inning from Beaver Local, where they scored six runs. Delaney Morris had a crucial double that brought in two runs and helped establish the Beavers’ lead. Morris spoke about the importance of staying focused and contributing to her team’s success.

Sydney Wilson-Plunkett also played well, with two hits and three RBIs, including a single that gave Beaver Local the lead. Other players like Addison Eells, Lora Reeder, and several others also contributed with hits, RBIs, and runs scored. Eells pitched a strong game, allowing no earned runs on one hit with five strikeouts.

East Palestine initially took the lead in the first inning but struggled to generate hits for the rest of the game. Coach Clarence Andre acknowledged the tough competition presented by Beaver Local and emphasized the importance of making defensive plays.

Beaver Local will face Madonna next while East Palestine will play Lisbon. The final score was EP: 1-0-0-0-0 – 1- 1-3; BL: 0-6-0-2-3 – 11-10-1
