Baldur’s Gate 3″ Developer Larian Studios Moves Away from Sequels to Focus on New Independent Projects

Larian Studios, the team behind the hit game “Baldur’s Gate 3,” has announced that they will not be working on a sequel to the game. Instead, they are focusing on two new projects that are independent of the “Baldur’s Gate” saga. The studio is currently working on their next update, Patch 7, which will address bugs, improve evil endings, and introduce new modification tools to give players more control over the game. They are also looking to add cross-play and a photo mode in the future. However, there will be no continuation of the story through a new narrative, expansion or sequel.

Since its release in August of last year, “Baldur’s Gate 3” has received recognition in several prestigious awards including the Golden Joysticks, Game Developers Choice, DICE, and The Game Awards, as well as BAFTA Games Awards, Hugo Awards and GLAAD Media Awards among others. The game has been a huge success for Larian Studios and has paved the way for their future endeavors. The team behind “Baldur’s Gate 3” is excited about the development of their new projects which will offer an open world for players to explore freely and adapt the lore of popular role-playing games into a story where player decisions affect characters and outcomes.
