Artificial Intelligence Takes Center Stage at Historic Healthcare Conference in Israel

A first-of-its-kind conference was held in Israel, initiated by Rabbi Yossi Arablich, the founder and chairman of the organization “For Your Sake.” The event brought together senior managers from AI companies around the world, leading international scientists, and heads of the health system. The goal was to create collaborations and utilize artificial intelligence to save lives, extend life expectancy, and improve quality of life.

The conference attracted prominent organizations such as Google, Microsoft, Mobileye, and Check Point, all leaders in global AI development. State President Yitzhak (Boji) Herzog sent his blessing to the attendees, acknowledging the connection between Israeli innovation and the healthcare system. President Herzog praised Rabbi Yossi Arablich for his commitment to ensuring that patients receive professional assistance and support.

During the conference, Prof. Ran Blitzer from Klalit Health Fund discussed recent advancements in AI technology and its applications in medicine. He highlighted how AI can aid in early disease detection, improving outcomes, and reducing hospitalization days. Additionally, he emphasized how AI has the potential to revolutionize doctor-patient relationships by returning medicine back to its core principles.

Alon Chaimovich, CEO of Microsoft Israel’s office division, also spoke about the importance of utilizing artificial intelligence in healthcare for breakthrough applications. Prof. Yossi Matias from Google Worldwide emphasized how AI technology could be used to predict diagnose treat diseases more effectively ultimately improving patient outcomes.

The conference also addressed challenges faced by Israeli healthcare professionals such as a shortage of specialized manpower. Prof Zion Hagai Chairman of Israel Medical Association highlighted the importance of investing human resources in healthcare while criticizing the Ministry of Health for outsourcing physician shortages issue.
