Alleged Data Transfer Scandal: WuXi AppTec Under Investigation for National Security Risks

This move comes as Washington intelligence sources cite concerns about national security and the potential risks posed by Chinese companies developing biotechnology that could be exploited by the military.

The White House is particularly concerned about certain Chinese companies, including WuXi AppTec, and their role in biotechnology development. The Senate has been working on a biotech security bill targeting WuXi AppTec and other Beijing-based companies, with lawmakers seeking to protect American intellectual property and prevent further advancements by China.
