A Year of Struggle: 8-Year-Old Child Battles Recurring Tonsillitis and Adenoiditis

An 8-year-old child, Baby Samnang Chea, has been experiencing tonsillitis and adenoiditis about 1-2 times per month for the past year. This resulted in complications such as respiratory infections and otitis media. The disease recurs frequently, approximately 15 times a year, leading to symptoms like fever, stiff throat, stuffy nose, headache, dry cough, sleep apnea, and snoring.

Ms. Li Sek, the child’s mother, brought her to Ho Chi Minh City from Cambodia for treatment. At the Ear, Nose and Throat Center in Tam Anh General Hospital in Ho Chi Minh City, Chea’s endoscopy results revealed red and swollen tonsils with a layer of yellow fluid in her throat. On May 7th
