Over 1,400 nominations submitted for the 2024 VinFuture awards

VinFuture Awards Season 4 Surges with Record-Breaking Registrations, Recognizing Breakthroughs in Healthcare, AI, and Sustainable Energy.

The VinFuture Awards season 4 has received a total of 1,469 registration applications, which is an astonishing 2.5 times more than the previous year. The nominations covered a range of essential fields such as health, environment, and artificial intelligence (AI) applications.

The most common topics included medicine and healthcare with 36.3% of the applications, sustainable energy with 24.6%, environment and climate change with 15.2%, AI applications in various sectors with 13.8%, and agriculture with 10.1%.

Organizers of VinFuture stated that many nominations were centered on groundbreaking new fields like discovering and designing new drugs using AI, developing solutions to combat climate change, exploring new energy sources and building economical smart agricultural systems. Researchers also proposed ideas for researching new materials, equipment, and processes for everyday life activities.

VinFuture’s first year had only 599 nominations, which increased to 970 in the second season and reached a record high of 1,389 in the third season. In its fourth season, the number of international scientists who are official nomination partners has reached an impressive total of 9,101 – a whopping increase of over 70% compared to the previous year. These partners come from all around the world, with a significant percentage hailing from the Americas, Europe, and Asia.

The participation of leading scientists and experts in VinFuture has significantly improved the quality of nominated works over time. The VinFuture Award aims to recognize outstanding scientific and technological achievements that contribute towards promoting breakthrough initiatives globally. The Preliminary Round for the award will take place from June 1st to August
