8 Techniques for Applying Infertility Treatments

Vietnam’s Assisted Reproductive Support Industry: Advanced Technologies and High Success Rates

In Vietnam, the reproductive support industry is rapidly growing, despite being 20 years behind the world. Dr. Le Hoang, People’s Physician and Associate Professor, who is the Director of the Center for Reproductive Support at Tam Anh General Hospital in Hanoi, stated that Vietnam has mastered advanced reproductive technologies.

One of the modern techniques applied in assisted reproduction in Vietnam is the use of platelet-rich plasma for thin endometrium treatment in IVF patients. This technique helps improve the lining of the uterus, increasing the chances of successful implantation for women with thin endometrium. Another technique used is the dynamic embryo culture cabinet system, which monitors and evaluates embryo development without exposing them to external environments, leading to a higher success rate in blastocyst development.

Artificial intelligence software is also used in reproductive support, helping embryologists select the best embryos for transfer into the uterus. This technology increases the likelihood of successful conception. Other techniques such as mild ovarian stimulation regimen, oocyte maturation technique, and micro-TESE microsurgery are also used to improve outcomes of IVF treatments.

Pre-implantation genetic screening is a method to prevent genetic diseases from being passed on to future generations by screening embryos for genetic diseases before implantation. Vitrification is another advanced technology used to freeze gametes and embryos, enhancing the success rate of IVF treatments. Overall, advanced assisted reproductive technologies are applied in 80% of difficult cases at Tam Anh IVF, leading to an average pregnancy rate of 68.5%.
