Unstoppable Grossman Takes Fifth Consecutive Boulder Title at Salt Lake City’s IFSC World Cup

On Sunday evening, American Natalia Grossman once again claimed victory in the boulder competition at the IFSC World Cup stop in Salt Lake City. Despite battling a knee injury, Grossman tore through three out of four boulders to secure her fifth consecutive crown.

Grossman’s performance was followed by France’s Oriane Bertone and Naïlé Meignan, who finished in second and third place, respectively. Grossman admitted that she had considered sitting out the final due to her injury and bigger plans for the year but ultimately decided to push through and compete.

In an interview after the competition, Grossman expressed her pride in her performance, stating that she felt a special connection to the Salt Lake City World Cup because of the support from the crowd and being surrounded by her family. She attributed her motivation for winning to knowing that there were many strong competitors in the field.

Meanwhile, Japan’s Anraku Sorato emerged victorious in the men’s category while Americans Emma Hunt and Sam Watson secured titles in women’s speed climbing events respectively. The atmosphere at Salt Lake City was electrifying as climbers from around the world showcased their skills on stage. Overall, Grossman’s triumph was a testament to her determination and talent in sport climbing.
